No.Characters were weak. Facts stated kept changing. Story lines brought up were never addressed or were a big let down. The story jumped around and was choppy. It felt like there were several authors writing at once... and I've read stuff written by co-authors that were so much better.
It had promise, but it just went from bad to worse after the first chapter.
Just no.

Falling for the CEO Wild Brothers Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition) Charlotte Byrd Christy Smith Byrd Books Books Reviews
3.5 stars. This was an ok short read. There were several times I wanted to shake the heroine. One minute she would think one thing and do the complete opposite. But overall it was ok.
I just finished this book and I'm honestly just sitting here wondering what I just spent my time reading. I like the story line, but Gatsby was verbally absuive to Annabelle on numerous occasions, and she continued to give him chance after chance! Total crazy town! And worst of all, there was ZERO wrap-up. Just "The End." I read a lot of books in this genre and I've never experienced this before...for some reason I kept hoping he would truly redeem himself in the end but there was NO resolution. And Annabelle never stood up for herself! Just totally sick over this one.
3.5 stars. I don't know.. there is just something off with the Hero.. He really comes off BIPOLAR. I LOVVEED him at first.. how they meet etc.. and what he does to help her but after that his character just fell in a bad way for me. The Heroine was okay.. Same goes for her.. I really loved her in the beginning of the story, then as it went on it just fizzled into showing how weak she really was.. She just keeps forgiving him despite telling herself she won't from then on out.. There wasn't enough info on other characters either. For example the ex assistant.. screams that she is going to SUE HIM.. WHY? WHy would she want to sue him? I suppose I could assume why but there wasn't anything there to really solidify her reason for wanting to sue him. Not enough about the roommate.. I really wanted to know MORE about her.. such a wonderful friend and we hardly get to KNOW her. I thought the book was pretty good over all. Not badly written or anything.. Just the characters were so uncomfortable.. especially the HERO. and the girl just kept going back to him. I don't get that.. it also ended abruptly.. There really isn't any type of epilogue.. everything gets resolved in less than a page and VOILA DONE! WITH ALL OF that said I AM still interested in the next book in this series.. So I don't regret buying this book and will be buying the next one.
I read this book because of all the great reviews... of which I'm a little baffled. I'm not one to criticize an author's work, I think it's amazing that they can write stories for our entertainment. With that being said, I literally forced myself to finish this book. For starters the hero has a stupid name that I hated reading. Tristan was a great name the author should have stuck with... Gatsby?? Ugh...and to top it off, he was a Jerk throughout the whole book.. minus the first three chapters. Was he bipolar? Probably, but that wasn't written in. The heroine was a spineless doormat and I found myself skipping sections just to get through the book. The writing style was also a little annoying. The use of contractions would have helped this story flow better.
I e read falling for the CEO and the Debt. I had high hopes. I hated the way Falling for the CEO just ended. Her books start out good and I feel like she's rushing to finish them. The writing could also be a little better.. I was a little disappointed
I didn't hate it, but it was like store bought pizza. You'll eat it, but you'd rather have something more authentic. The potential is there, I saw where the characters could have been developed, but Tristan is so flat and I couldn't relate to Annabelle's feelings. There are unnecessary page breaks, for example, he pops out of the water "He tosses his head and all hair from his face dances and falls into place. A beautiful, friendly smile forming on his lips." PAGE BREAK "I'm Tristan," he says. (Mind you they are still in the water.) This happens a lot and it doesn't jive well with the flow of the story.
This story had a good plot, I just feel that it didn't build well. The main character's love interest,Tristan, is overly apologetic as much as the main character is a nag... The relationship peaks after a week or so, and the entire backdrop of the story is rushed, spending more time concentrating on inconsequential events, and less on the actual plot. I had pretty high expectations for this book, given the previous views, but turned out obviously disappointed. Even the ending was stopped abruptly, which I felt it could have been wrapped up nicer. Like I said, the plot was a good idea, I just was left wanting so much more...
